Sea see sea

In Days, Edinburgh, Edinburgh College of Art on April 1, 2013 at 7:56 pm

April 1st is many things – April Fools DayInternational Fun At Work DaySourdough Bread Day…and the newly created Walk North Day (or Walk in the manner of Snufkin day). I have no idea how far I’ve walked today, north from the studio (in a now traditional slightly squint way) to the sea, maybe six or seven miles back and forth and round about. It was nice, but cold and windy and I forgot my gloves and I can still smell salt but there was sunshine (briefly) and my feet hurt. Walk north to the north sea; walk north until the land runs out. Writing tomorrow I think, and just pictures for now.

This is as far north as I could walk, along the edge of the harbour and out to sea.

Even the stones are heading north, out to sea.

I picked up quite a bit of stuff. Including sea water and sand and seaweed and string and whatever else.
